Gdańsk University of Technology is the largest technical university in Northern Poland and one of the leading research and development centres in the country.
POLITECHNIKA GDANSKA
As of 2018, Gdańsk Tech had 14.986 active students and employed over 1200 scientists, including 200 professors.
The publishing activity of Gdańsk Tech’s academic staff has been steadily increasing, with an approximate annual growth of 18%.
In 2018, the university secured funding for more than 50 projects under EU structural funds, as well as national and international research programmes. Gdansk University of Technology actively collaborates with local industries through the Centre of Knowledge and Technology Transfer and the Pomeranian Centre of Advanced Technology.
These partnerships result in joint research projects and industry-inspired bachelor’s and master’s theses.
In 2019 Gdańsk University of Technology participated in the Excellence Initiative –Research University programme, ranking second among applicants (and the top technical university) with an impressive score of 35/40 points. It is one of only four Polish universities – and the only technical university – included in the top 1000 institutions listed in the World University Rankings 2020.
The Gdańsk University of Technology offers education across eight faculties: Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Chemistry, Faculty of Electronics and IT, Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering, Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics, Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering,
Faculty of Management and Economics and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology.
The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology is one of the Gdańsk tech’s largest and historically significant faculties. It was among the first to resume operations after World War II.
Today, it offers full-time and part-time bachelor’s and master’s programmes. The Faculty is also authorized to award PhD and DSc degrees in machine construction and operation as well as materials science and engineering.
In 2016 the State Accreditation Committee awarded the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering A rating in recognition of its scientific achievements. Since its postwar reopening, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering has educated over 15000 engineers.
The Faculty is also deeply engaged in international collaboration, participating in student and staff exchange programmes, particularly through ERASMUS+.
It has signed numerous bilateral agreements with universities across Europe and hosts foreign lecturers, including sessional instructors.
Faculty members frequently participate in teaching exchanges abroad, further enriching its international presence.
Looking ahead, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology aims to deepen its international collaborations and ensure its education aligns with the highest European standards.

KAINOTOMIA is a certified under Greek Legislation Vocational Education and Training Institution that was founded in 2013 by a group of people with expertise and a lifelong commitment to the subject of learning.
KAINOTOMIA & SIA EE
The organization’s modern facilities are designed in compliance with disabled people’s accessibility, while there are 3 training rooms with a total capacity of 91 trainees.
The goal of KAINOTOMIA is the implementation of continuous vocational training programs (offline & online through their e-learning platform) targeted at employed/unemployed people, educators, students of higher education, and vulnerable social groups for the development of professional opportunities and their integration into the labour market and society.
They provide Career Guidance and Counseling with regional stakeholder networks and according to individual needs.
KAINOTOMIA’s goal is the support of trainees aiming to introduce new learning and teaching methodologies approaches, especially those delivering key competencies and basic skills, language skills, and focusing on the use of ICT, but also the upscaling of the quality of education in professionalization of trainers.
Finally, provides trainees with new forms of flexible learning methods, virtual mobility, open educational resources, and better exploitation of the ICT potential.
KAINOTOMIA aims to up/reskill trainees through mobility in other EU member states to bolster cooperation with other countries of EU, and volunteering as an expression of an intercultural dimension.
KAINOTOMIA plays a leading role at national and regional level and holds extensive experience in both methodology development of practical solutions matching specific vocational and professional development needs.

Package Testing & Research Ltd (PTR), founded in 2016, is a consulting agency specialized in delivering knowledge for packaging-related development activities such as R&D, design, labelling, training, and project management.
PACKAGE TESTING & RESEARCH LTD
PTR strives to deliver case-relevant knowledge by applying their 30 years of expertise and unique research tools.
Their expertise is beneficial in varying stages of packaging processes. Expressly, PTR combines an understanding of the packaging sector’s operations with consumer insight by applying both qualitative and quantitative research methodology.

Their expertise is founded on food & packaging sciences. PTR’s historical background is an association (Association of Packaging Technology and Research, founded in 1983 by the Finnish Packaging Association) for coordinating packaging-related research projects in Finland.

Regional Pomeranian Chamber of Commerce was established on 10th June 2008 as an initiative of 68 entrepreneurs.
REGIONALNA IZBA GOSPODARCZA POMORZA
Today the Chamber is a modern economic and entrepreneur support organization.
They focus their activities on the Pomerania – a unique region due to its location by the Baltic Sea.
Their projects are focused on:
- Hydrogen technologies, as they are coordinating the first and the biggest hydrogen cluster in Poland, Cluster of Hydrogen Technologies
- Shaping the local labour market by promoting the entrepreneurship spirit of students from vocational schools
- Pomeranian Center of Arbitration and Mediation is the pride of the chamber and a successful place for resolving corporate issues
- Successful networking aiming at creating operational interest groups (life-science, eco-effective and eco-friendly technologies, new technologies)
RPCC was involved in several projects where the target groups were unemployed, students, VET providers, SMEs, and Employees.

BETTINA is one of the most modern vertically integrated textile export industries in Greece. 100% of its products, excellent quality sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases and many other items, are exported to countries of the European Union.
BETTINA TEXTILE INDUSTRY
The privately owned facilities cover an area of 65 acres, while the building facilities cover 30,000 sq.m. and are located in the Industrial Area of Larissa.
The flexibility in the production sector, the consistency in delivery times, the efficient and modern operational structure and the excellent cooperation between management and employees, are the main reasons for the ever-increasing demand for its products.
The company was founded in 1995, a year in which it employed 60 people. Today, it employs over 140 people in all its structures. The human resources and their skills are the dominant conditions for the company’s development, which is why a comprehensive programme of staff training is implemented every year.
It should be noted that its building facilities, were considered not only the production requirements but also the creation of pleasant and hygienic workplaces for the staff, working conditions of European level and standards.
The individual production departments of which the company consists are the knitting mill which has a yarn production capacity of 7tn/day, the dyeing mill which has a dyeing capacity of 20tn/day, and finally the sewing and knitting mill which can complete 20,000 sheets/day.
It should be noted that in all the production stages, all the modern energy-saving measures have been taken, and equipment is installed through which, the company’s waste is a raw material for the production of hot water, which is then used in the operation of the industry.
All the mechanical equipment is modern and can meet the most stringent quality criteria.
The combination of mechanical equipment and highly trained staff has enabled the company to hold five European quality certificates.
The most recent is STeP by OEKO-TECH, issued by the International Association for Research and Testing in the field of textile and Leather Ecology, which very few companies throughout Europe hold due to its high requirements at many stages of an economic organization’s operation. The environmental performance of the company encompasses any environmental impact incurred by the facility regarding the handling and storage of chemicals, the utilisation and consumption of resources such as energy and water, wastewater, air emissions, carbon footprint, waste, transportation, and packaging.
BETTINA is active in Germany and Switzerland, as well as in other European countries, where all of its products end up.
In such a highly competitive environment, a cornerstone for keeping its products among the branded and strong ones in Europe is a continuous investment to maintain high growth rates by upgrading existing technologies and achieving the most competitive costs for its products.
However, the main objective is to maintain the confidence of the buying public.
For this reason, all plans and future investments are designed with this basic principle as a starting point.

SUSIC was established in 2019 as an association created by members coming from diverse horizons, including law, politics, informatics and administrative backgrounds, aiming together to foster the development of more sustainable practices in the economy.
ASSOCIATION FOR THE PROMOTION OF SUSTAINABLE INITIATIVES AND COMPETENCES
The Association for the Promotion of sustainable Competencies and Initiatives proposes as fundamental purposes of its action and justification, the following:
a. The promotion of the development of sustainable initiatives in the local society, in particular, all those that allow acting in favor of the environment and the protection of the climate, the circular economy, the economy of the common good and the sustainable development goals set by UNESCO (SDG)
b. Strengthen the competencies of citizens in the field of sustainability to improve their daily practices, in both work and private environments.
c. Promote knowledge of sustainable skills and their application in all groups, from childhood to adulthood, with particular attention to women.
d. Promote the entrepreneurial spirit that allows citizens to take initiative, help the creation of companies, associations, and project development, and any type of initiative that ensures a more sustainable society.
e. Support social, sustainable, and responsible entrepreneurship
f. Strengthen an economic fabric capable of creating employment, bringing together society, and caring for the environment.
g. Develop European initiatives that allow the exchange of good practices and/or that are innovative and have a direct impact on citizens. Develop and/or participate in European and international initiatives that pursue the same aims of the association.
h. Promote sustainability in society, dealing with economic activities such as non-economic initiatives and in the individual sphere
i. Develop R&D activities for greater sustainability of business activities
j. Promote education and exchange of good sustainability practices in the workplace, business and private life
k. Improve knowledge and dissemination of sustainable and responsible practices
l. Work for sustainable cultural, artistic development and local tourism

As main activities, SUSIC is engaged to achieve its objectives with the following activities:
- Development of training tools, including the development of educational programs, content and evaluation systems.
- Training with the target audience of the association, from childhood to adulthood, in virtual and face-to-face formats.
- Support for the development of sustainable initiatives.
- Labor insertion support services
- Advisory work on the creation and implementation of companies/initiatives/associations and other projects.
- Preparation, presentation, and development of European projects.
- Support for access to financing of sustainable initiatives through the presentation of proposals for subsidies and public and private tenders.
- Organization of promotional events in accordance with the purposes of the association.
